The Arrival of a New Hero is the second chapter in The Crossing of Universes and the second chapter in the Beginning Arc

Nick wakes up to find The Warner Brothers, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot watching him. As Nick tries to figure out what's happening, the Warners explain the whole story about the two groups, the Society and the Organization who are at war with each other in the post-apocalyptic ruins of Earth twenty years in the future. They the take him back to the current Society lair, Nick's hometown baseball stadium, he is introduced to their leader, Spongebob Squarepants. Apparently, everyone had anticipated Nick's arrival, him being "the chosen one" and "the savior of us all". Before Spongebob could elaborate on the story of the war, the Organization's leader, Maleficent arrives, called upon by Plankton hiding under Wakko's hat. Many Society members scatter to find safety, but Nick, Spongebob, and some of the cartoon heroes end up trapped scrambling for the only available exit. Nick saves the day by using Genie as a mirror to deflect one of Maleficent's spells back at her. As she retreats, she sends a swarm of Heartless to attack. But as everyone gets ready for battle, Nick pulls a sword out of the ground, accidentally teleporting everybody out of the stadium.
